The activities of Gedeon Richter Plc are vertically combined and involve pharmaceutical manufacturing, research and development, sales, and marketing.

With a rich 120-year history, Richter’s pharmaceutical manufacturing is a leader in the global industry in all aspects.

The company produces over 200 types of pharmaceuticals ranging from original, generic, and biosimilar to licensed products.

In 2008, an investment of over 110 million was made to construct the Biopharmaceutical Plant in Debrecen, Hungary. This project created 200 new job opportunities. Gedeon Richter aimed to expand its production capacity with the addition of a state-of-the-art biotechnological plant, a laboratory for research and development, and a pilot plant capacity specifically for bacterial biotechnology.

The manufacturing facility is part of Gedeon Richter’s long-term strategy to develop its business and expand into new European and international markets.

PBSC provided a high-quality decontamination solution with an efficient cycle time within the Debrecen site, supporting Richter’s manufacturing of medicines and various preparations.

Solutions/Results

PBSC provided a high-quality decontamination solution with an efficient cycle time. The chamber has multiple options to meet the customer’s specific needs and is compatible with their pharmaceutical environment.

The customer additions were chosen for the following reasons:
Specific ducting to air inlet Fan – Ensures the air intake is temperature and humidity-controlled.
Aeration and Extract 800 units – Supports the removal of H₂0₂ during the aeration phase of a H₂0₂ decontamination cycle, thus decreasing the overall cycle period.
PBSC – 3 Valve (AHS 400) – A smaller capacity AHS system decreases the volume of air processed through the chamber, which in turn increases energy efficiencies.
Portasens unit – Used to take readings of H₂0₂ in a safe manner from outside the chamber.
