What we are looking for:

Following the recent move to a new purpose-built facility, PBSC is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Design Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical design experience and a keen eye for health and safety procedures.

You will work within a growing team of engineers, offering an excellent opportunity to tackle immediate challenges and be involved in exciting projects.

The Role:

  • You will be working within a team to provide electrical design, control panel layouts, and cable schematic drawings for PBSC products.
  • Working with different departments to establish electrical and instrumentation design and drawings
  • Producing and updating electrical drawings
  • Working with the team to ensure alignment to a specification
  • Assisting with function design specifications, in-house, and customer testing documentation
  • Create project plans and circuit diagrams using computer-assisted engineering and design software.
  • Manage projects and deliver them on time.
  • Ensure projects meet safety regulations.
  • Provide technical assistance.

The Candidate:

  • Proven expertise as an electrical engineer.
  • 18th addition (preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proficient in both MS Word and Excel

The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical drawings and installations for Siemens and Allen Bradley systems, panel design and wiring, as well as PLC/HMI programming. Experience in machinery testing is highly advantageous due to the nature of this role. A keen eye for health and safety is paramount due to the materials used on site.
