PBSC’s Mechanical Seal Door HC-MSD
PBSC’s Mechanical Seal Door
Overview
The Mechanical Seal Door set from PBSC creates a dependable airtight barrier by using a strong flexible seal, compressed against the doorframe. Manual compression of the seal doesn’t require compressed air, thus providing a fail-safe seal in the event of power failure.
Applicable for all containment applications where high containment is required, such as BSL3 and BSL4 laboratories.
Having a raised threshold creates a natural bund, assisting the containment of liquid during washdown.
Available in stainless steel or machined HPL door leaves, both are tested to 2500PA (10″ W.G.) The door set can be linked to an access control system if required.
A stainless steel arm is used to compress the combed edge of the frame against the seal, having a one-handed maneuver available on either side of the door which is easy to use by staff. The mechanical mechanism is mounted in the floor frame, minimizing door weight and improving maintenance
