PBSC offers lead shielding vision panels designed for environments requiring radiation protection. These panels provide a clear view while ensuring reduction from radiation exposure, making them ideal for use in medical and research facilities where radiation is present.
The design maintains the aesthetic and functional qualities of PBSC’s standard vision panels, with the added benefit of lead shielding to meet specific safety requirements.
In keeping with the clean and flush designs from PBSC, the lead shielding glazed screens have flush glazing in polished stainless-steel architraves and no visible fixings to either side. Providing up to 12mm lead equivalency and can be provided for different applications including code 5, code 6, code 7, etc…

Lead shielding refers to the use of lead as a form of radiation protection to shield people or objects.
These vision panels are upgraded to triple glazed, lead resistant glass – specifying the required grade of lead resistance required, determines the thickness of the glass used.
PBSC’s Lead Shielding Vision Panels provide up to 12mm lead equivalency and can be provided for different applications including code 5, code 6, code 7, etc…
Constructed from stainless steel grade 304 or 316.
Each panel has flexible sizing to accommodate the end user and specific application requirements.
Panel supports:
Mullion – Vertical support added to aid in structural integrity. This is standard for panels of 1400mm in width and above.
Transom – Horizontal support added to aid in structural integrity. This is standard for panels of 1600mm in height and above.
The vision panel can be provided with various blinds, including blackout, laser protection, or venetians.
Following on-site installation, PBSC offers a Planned Preventative Maintenance and Servicing Plan with an extensive after-sales support service, including planned preventative maintenance programs, servicing, and spare parts.
