Compressed air is operated to inflate the door seal, fitting against the curved door frame, creating a barrier against leakage resistance for pressure differences of up to 2000Pa (8” w.g.). This ensures a secure fit, allowing the use of reliable software during the FAT, and reducing on-site time and risk.
The robust door leaf is available in different materials, including polished stainless steel, powder- coated low-carbon steel, and aluminium.
Featuring PBSC’s unique cast stainless-steel hinge assembly, it includes a toughened or laminated glass flush-glazed vision panel, seamlessly integrated within the lines of the stainless-steel door frame.
The door leaf and architrave are made of 304 or 316 stainless steel and incorporate the inflatable seal. The standard seal is silicone, but EPDM is available upon request.
Architrave and door leaf are supplied in a polished finish as standard to <0.6Ra, but finer finishes are available upon request.
Hinge sets are provided in cast stainless steel material and come with a satin finish.
The window is available:
* 6mm thick round toughened clear glass double-glazed vision panel
* 6mm thick square toughened clear glass double-glazed vision panel
* 6mm thick radius toughened clear glass vision panel
Additionally, a privacy cover is available and added to one side of the door leaf only.
Sub-Frame type:
Bolted Sub-Frame (Stud Partition, Block, or Modular Partition Wall) – 5mm zintec steel to be fixed into the wall to form the engineered structural opening. Available with a compression seal to the door frame.
Cast-In Door Frame (Concrete Wal) – The door frame is designed to be fully cast into the wall at the
time of shuttering. The door frame is filled with concrete during the casting process and no site
welding or grout fill is required. The door frame is designed with stops for the performance coating.
Cast Sub-Frame (Concrete Wall) – 5mm stainless steel grade 304 to be cast into the concrete walls to
form the structural opening. Available with a compression seal or welded seal to the door frame. If
welded, please advise if the frame will require grout filling on-site.
The inflatable seal is created by joining a hollow extruded profile to form an airtight seal that can be inflated to seal two surfaces. Providing a clean, time-saving sealing solution to hermetic sealing against powders, gases, liquids, and dust.
Following on-site installation, PBSC offers a Planned Preventative Maintenance and Servicing Plan
with an extensive after-sales support service, including planned preventative maintenance
programs, servicing, and spare parts.
